1925 Rolls-Royce PII Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe

Spectacular vehicle. Striking stance, espically considering the age, and the soft lines are simply beautiful. Whoever said cars can't be art never layed eyes on this.
I'd love to design something modern based on this. |
I've never been a fan of Rolls Royce, but this one has changed my mind.
Great style. |
Rolls Royce builds classics. This thing is awesome. Nice, nice, car. Gotta wonder what that thing is worth. And "lots" doesn't count.

back view:
http://www.supercars.net/gallery/119513/4/418.jpg According to some, the car was built for King Edward the 8th, used to be gold plated, and was taken around to carnivals where people would pay to look at it. The price is probably near impossible to calculate, since it's one-of-a-kind, but if you're curious call the owner: Petersen Automotive Museum in LA. |
Well, I really like the front....
...as for the back, "Holy King Edward, Batman!" |
wowzer.....what a hoot ! xoxoxoo
|
I've actually seen this car in person at the Petersen museum. Even among all the other cars there, I still remember this one as my favorite. It is really stunning.
|
they really could have cut that back end off 5' shorter and it still would have been a truely marvelous car...
|
That is one fine ride. The rear view is a little radical for me. Still a beautiful car.
|
Beautiful car over all, I really love the front view but the back is too gothic for my taste. I'd choose some other old classic over this one for that reason.
|
Man, I would so enjoy flogging that down the interstate! I love odd, and I love beautiful cars.
|
Batman, eat your heart out!
That era produced some beautiful cars - google Delahaye and Talbot Lago - two examples of floooooowing lines, streamlined shapes, gorgeous works of art |
Oh there is a car in that picture :D
