Water in 5 cylinders

Had to change the engine in the boat after water got into the manifold and in on top of the cylinders sat for 4 months this is the end result,
Engine was frozen solid 2 guys with a bar could not turn it with the plugs out.
Mercuiser 5.7 liter (Chevy 350) 275 hp on shaft 250 hp on prop made for marine application.

Going to try and save it? Think it is possible? There's always a chance, I've seen worse saved from the graveyard. May not be worth it if you don't do your own wrenching.

No not saving it, it went back to Mercruiser they may do what they want I got 250 for it. I got myselft a brand new one.

The water did not get from the intake but the exhaust manifold there was a double gasket between the elbow and the manifold and water somehow found its way in on top of the pistons. The double gasket was only on one side but there where water on both sides...Dont know how but no doubt about it.
