VW Golf mark 2/3
Hello all...
I'm in the market for a Golf, I like the mark 2 GTI's and Mark 3 GTI's but not sure on which to seriously look at now i've got some cash. Looking to spend about £2000 but i've heard the mark 3's are a bit sluggish compared to to earlier GTI's as they have a heavier body & interior plus airbags etc etc. Which is better? I would prefer a newer one, with a less dated interior but prefer the look of the mark 2 with twin headlights either side.

I used to own a Mk2 (an '88 GTI 16v) and I miss that little car. It was a lot of fun to toss around and the engine was great! I've often heard that the mk2 was the last of the true GTI's. I've never driven a mk3 but I haven't heard good things.
If you can find a good condition mk2 GTI I would say go for it!
