GENEVA , 28 February, 2006 – Ford has today announced that the price of its new seven-seat sporty S-MAX people carrier will start at £16,767 including a comprehensive array of safety and convenience equipment.

Unveiled at the Geneva Show today, the S-MAX range goes on sale in the UK in June. Ford's acclaimed Shared Technologies strategy, which spreads the cost of new technology features over a variety of models and brands, has allowed the S-MAX to combine high quality interior and exterior values with aggressive pricing.

The S-MAX follows the successful launch of the Focus ST , which received an enthusiastic reception from customers, dealers and media, for its entry price of £17,495. The Focus ST has been described as "the best hot hatch on sale right now" by Autocar magazine.

The front end reminds me of a Focus. My question is, if it's aimed at the Euro market and has Euro plates, why is the driver is on the left side of the car?

PS: I like those rims.

Only the countries under the influence of the UK drive on the wrong side of the road. Germany and some other countries drive on the right side.

Its like a mini-minivan made out of a Focus.

It is actually based off the European new mondeo platform. sort of like that new cross over Mercede's vehicle.

I have to say I like it. With the ST engine (the 2.5l petrol), and a decent suspension, I think this would be pretty cool. Especially once you drop the rear seats and install a couple of racing seats and six-points :D Just for the hell of it!
