Hello, all - I recently picked up my writing again and would enjoy hearing thoughts, ideas, boos, and cheers...

I play around with different styles, sounds, pains, absurdities, both sensible and nonsensicle. All eyes and/or opinions are appreciated via the thread or even a pm.

Unprompted
 

Why would you toss yourself into this?
Am I what you hoped for or what you miss?
Laying here I want to believe;
And your wanting eyes reminisce.

Polite affection and convenient passion sink
My confidence in ardour with a wink
To the feelings worn thin on my sleeve
And worn numb with my drink.

Another morning leaves me to pursue
Just one unprompted sentiment so overdue;
Surrender is both understanding and naïve,
Carelessly again I’m given, “I love you, too.”

Stunted
 

Spoon fed moonlit sorrow;
Killing the soulful fire;
Easy was it
Leaves us unfit
Stunted desire.

Smile, kiss, touch, cum;
We want, we need, we have;
Another’s concern
Soon you learn
Turns you to half.

Cum, dread, hurt, run;
We had, we bleed, we hate;
Only bliss knows
How deep it sows
Next season’s prickly fate.

The siren song waits patient;
Jagged rocks of jealous tomorrow;
Pulled again
Not if, when
Spoon forced moonlit sorrow.

unprompted and what? are pretty strong. the emotional questions and distance are clearly conveyed. it is easy to feel the pain. thanks for that peek into your psyche. not sure about the middle piece. it just didn't seem up to the level of the other two. it didn't hit my like they did. thanks for the writing.
