Free verse poem
I wrote this for English class today, it's called "competition":
The winner chosen a chronic longing remains obsene contentment |
Not really a free verse poem - that's a haiku I believe.
Either way, I like it. Is the chronic longing in the winner, or the losers? It works much better if the winner, despite having won, still feels a chronic longing. The dissatisfaction of competition/victory. |
definately Haiku... only without the nature element...
either way... nice work... and nice review HiThereDear... very well described... |
don't know whether i am obtuse to wonder at the spelling of obscene
|
Only if you consider it obtuse to wonder at the spelling of Bukowski
