Fear to Speak (And more of my works)
 

Looking down i see others prints
Walking paths plowed by others
Desperately i seek answers not hints
Arm in arm i drudge with my brothers

Gray and flat is the landscape we walk
Dull and tired are our minds
Afraid to speak for fear we might talk
In fear we close our blinds

Revolutionary ideas we must hide
Gathering in coves to plan
With thier rules we are forced to abide
Though they fight it, we know we can

Until the day we raise our fist
We speak to brothers in passing
Our eyes meet and exchange a list
For places we will be massing

Sams Truth-

Society aways holding us down
Government not lifting us up
People supporting the system
Citizens blind to its crimes

Pentigon pushing its will
Military warming the globe
Politicians lineing pockets
Presidents deaf to the middle

Media confusing the masses
Television clouding minds
Radio drowning out the obvious
Newspapers pushing agendas

Judges judging the judged
Courts filling the jails
Past men die for future innocence
Death handed down with a smile

Children molded since birth
Schools teaching the revised
Books printing Sams truth
History shaped in clay

Under Powered-

when a man is angry he needs a source
whats he supposed to do without a target?
he cant take shots in the dark
he wont hit whats causing him grief
instead he destroys somthing he loves
and now he is confused
alone this lonely man cant stop the pain
inching along his life has caught a snag
ahead everyone sees the bright horizon
he has no dark lenses yet only sees black
where is the fortune and happiness he seeks?
givin his age he now sees how it works
lost now is the wonder the world once held
angry and confused he cannot lash out
this man is alone, and affraid of the dark
uncontent to sit and wait for a sunrise
underpowered to force a change.

Jealousy-

as people we are blind
looking for perfection
magazines rule minds
cant stand our reflection

looking past what we own
gazing at what we dont
the world has a dark tone
he will, but she wont

inspired by what we want
unmotivated by what we have
driven to the edge, we flaunt
desperate for her we grab

friendship is the backburner
cast aside for later use
love is driving me to murder
and then ill tie a noose

Greener Island-

Longingly gazing at Greener Island
Toiling hard to build my boat
Skin burning hot as i battle the sun
Breaking my back to sail my ship

Waking early in my youthful years
Drivin on by my wrestless will
Not allowing myself time for rest
My eyes set on going to Greener Island

With great care I cristen my craft
Spending much time to check the ship
My ship appears in good order
Gleafully i set sail to conquer the sea

The sea tosses and throws me about
Struggling to maintain control
Screaming to God for safe passage
I work for every inch i gain

Yards from land i signal the shore
I scream and wave with no one near
Hours spent lost to the tide
Now I drift.
