I know you are here.
I can feel you, but
Does it really matter?
You are so very far away and yet,
You are standing right beside me.
Does it really matter?
I sit here, beside you
Wanting nothing more than to touch you
To have you hold me in your arms. And yet,
Does it really matter?
You are my friend and I only want your happiness.
My true feelings are hidden for fear of losing you.
So I hide part of myself , trying to protect us.
Do you know the old saying:
The worst way to miss someone
Is to be sitting right beside them
And knowing you cant have them?
It is oh so very true.
I want you in my life,
Yet I know I could never have you.
Does it really matter?
Yes, it does matter.
