My finished poem (written post-breakup)
 

I wrote these first 2 verses a long time ago... couldn't quite come up with the 3rd (and last one), but tonight it's ending, I've made up my mind. Oddly enough from what I hear recently through a mutual friend he keeps asking about me... so this whole thing I've written makes perfect sense now! :D

Without further ado...

Storms brewing inside of me
My love for you is dying
I hope I leave you crying
Crying for my love

You took my heart and turned it
into fire and you burned it
You tossed it and you threw it
Threw it all away

For years I was deprived
and my love, it has not thrived
No more will you survive
and leave me to decay...

This is really great for me, it's a kind of closure in a sense.

Glad to see it up here!!!! It's amazing what seeing words you've pulled out of your head do you to helping things seem so much more final. I think the ending fits perfectly, and it just had to wait until you were ready to write it. Thanks for sharing girl! :)
