Dad can i ask you why you left me
without a tear in your eye...

I grew up wanting to know you
when I found you I wanted to loose you..

Thats why I ask
Have you ever
hit bottom, bet like no other
jaw left dangalin....

Thats how i felt
But thats all be hind me now...

Look at me now rasied by a women
Who now can look at her son and see a man
Look at you
Just the same
With the same ol beer in hand...

my father left when i was 8, no tears in his eyes either
my mother when i was 12 but at least she cried, beer in hand
