I think about you a lot,
Wanting to see you, but knowing I can't.
I close my eyes,
I see your smile, I feel your warmth.

It's been a year now,
and I know that I will never see you again.
I want to cry, but I don't.
I want to scream, but I can't.
You meant more to me than you will ever know.

I think of the things you taught me.
I hear your laugh.
I feel your hugs.
I just want to see you one more time.

When we last spoke, I told you that you would be having another granddaughter,
You apologized to me.
I miss you so much that I can't bear it.
Where are you now?
