Angel

Plummeting to the depths of loves hell.
The fall, long and seemingly endless,
plagues my soul.
Unable to release myself
from the grasp of this keeper of pain.
As a single tear trickles down my cheek,
the flood gates open.
Detached and broken, I am stumbling
through this dimension.
The ground unstable beneath me,
pray don’t give way now.
With a trembled voice, I summons an Angel
of strength to lift me as I sink.
Searching through the rubble, desperate
to recover the pieces of my shattered heart.
Looking at the dead reflection of my eyes,
icy fingers of fear take hold.
Will the sparkle ever be seen again?
