Mother Earth
 

When Mother Earth had given birth

She looked at us and saw our worth

She gave us all the stars above

Along with truth, hope, faith, and love

And when our lives to these are tied

Our Mother Earth is filled with pride

So live your lives the very best

And from the Mother you'll be blessed



I wrote this as I was driving to my cousins wedding yesterday.
I think I'll mail this to her as a second present.

She will absolutely cherish it I am sure.
I hope you will tell her when you wrote it. That will add so much more meaning to it for her.

That was beautiful. I personally don't write peoms that rhyme, but this is perfect. It is something that no matter who reads it, where they are, or how they are feeling that they have to feel at least some hope. I am a firm believer that there should always be hope and that is what your writing seems to mean to me.
