Beowulf! GOOD STORY! I had to read it for an english literature class my senior year in high school... I can remember bits and pieces, and that it was really good, but that's about it. I can't really help you out since it's been a few years... but I'm sure you'll enjoy reading it!

Beowulf

Great stuff, and dont worry about the middle english in it, its easy enough to read if you slow down. Alot of the story will feel similar because writers have been using the material for ages for thier own stories.

Well, I guess I'm the dissenting opinion here. I hated Beowolf, both the story and having to read it in Middle English. Anyway, the gist of it is that a monster keeps attacking a city and the Kind calls heros from all around to protect it. I don't want to tell you thes story, so if you want to know more go to sparknotes.com.

I had to read large excerpts of it in my English class afew months ago, and it was interesting; there seemed to be lots of fighting and bragging in it, so that's always a good story in my opinion.
