The Dirt Pig Creed

Once upon a time, not so long ago…
My house was clean!
And then they came…
My bed was made; my clothes were clean.
My floors were swept, scrubbed and mopped!
The dishes were done; the fridge was full.
The glass in the window so clean that it sparkled!
And then they came…
The cobwebs were gone; the walls were white.
The carpet was vacuumed clean of all dirt!
The toilet was clean, the tub and sink as well.
All the surfaces dusted, polished, and glowing!
And then they came…
They came in the door with mud on their shoes,
Walking through without taking them off!
They slept in my bed, and wore my clothes.
Spilled on the floor; dirtied the dishes.
Ate the food, put their hands and faces against the windows.
They ignored the cobwebs, and wrote on the walls.
Spilled pop and chips on the carpet.
They used all the toilet paper, and spilled the shampoo.
They even left their towels on the floor!
And… They didn’t dust!
The dirt pigs came and dirtied my home,
They messed up my house and didn’t even say sorry!
Now that they're gone, I have to clean…
All that I know is dirt pigs are mean!

Thought this might make a few people smile.

Hey, that was great. But, I think I could probably be considered a dirt pig.
