a little poetry.
I'll post more later, just a taste.
this one has two english and two loosely translated french verses. I will put the translation to english next to the line. C'est seulement vous que j'adore (It is you I adore) Your name rolls off my tongue, like love. I whisper it to the Gods above, I'm shunned. They know that you are a Goddess, as do I. So I speak in tongues, for with you and I this could be love. ...(my princess you are the sun that removes obscurity) Vous êtes l'arc-en-ciel après la pluie. (You are the rainbow after the rain) Vous m'apportez seulement la joie, jamais la douleur. (You bring me only the joy, never the pain. (I smile everytime that I whisper your name. It is you I adore.) Is this my Destiny to desire you? I do. My desire and devotion is true. Will it do? I mix up a potion, with my words, for you. So I speak in tongues? For with you and I this could be love. (Your eyes flow as an ocean, in forever, in your soul. (They are the most dazzling things I have ever seen.) (I want to stare at in them forever, before I sleep, and when I awaken. (And I want you to know that you I adore.) hope you guys and gals enjoy! |

I love the alternation between the English and French. In fact, the French bits are my favorite (partially due to French sounding so damnably romantic, at least to an English speaker), and your rhythm works quite well despite the general lack of rhyme (which works for you, even when you DO rhyme) and balance (although that's part of its' appeal, for me - the fact that the lines aren't "equal" works for you, as well, strangely enough).
Anyways, thanks for sharing. Hope to hear more outa' you. |

two more
This one is old.
A Kiss Deep, Dark, a passionate kiss. Throwing my mind into a twist. Feel the warm tingle set in, I never want this kiss to end. Warmth flows through me from your lips. I finaly discovered what I've missed. Your body held so close to mine, lips interlocked, souls intertwined. So Romantic, So divine. You're the only star that I see shine. Why do I feel so afraid? Bliss overwhelms me like a wave. If you wish well then I am your slave, I wonder how do I explain? Emotions long locked away, past mistakes with you I've made. Your kiss feeding an old flame, then it flares up and who's to blame? Fourteen seconds and then you leave, I decided that this is not a dream. Fourteen seconds, this must be real, cause I can't explain just how I feel. |

For Adorabella
Been walking for days in the shadow of my mind trying to hide from the light that the sunshine left behind when you were here last in my thoughts when the smile slid onto my lips like the morning dews sweet drips from the limbs of the trees to the blades of the grass such a sweet, sweet kiss it is such a wonderful bliss Been pondering for days In the thoughts I left behind the reminders of you in my eyes, your smell still here like a hidden effigy to a love falling from the sky like snow flakes when the sun began to fade away like a flower withers and slowly fades only a reminder remains in the way of the thought being forgotten in the circle of life it remains forgotten in the wind |

All I know in French is how to count up to four or five and random phrases like "the cat is on the table", "the mouse is under the table", and "the monkey is in the tree". And I somehow don't think that women would be swooning over me if I came up to them and said that to them.... Damn!
