something that doesn't exist
 

tears falling endlessly
coming from a river of frustration
pouring out into the empty room
with no one there to see them fall
no one to witness them
or see them as a weakness
hiding the pain and anger
knowing that it does no good
wishing for a better place
knowing that wishing is futile
counting the days to freedom
while knowing deep down
that freedom won't be there
it doesn't exist
there is no white knight
no rescue at all
this isn't a fairy tale
they aren't real
