A Viking Funeral

chomp!
the monsters are it again.
the strawberries are eroding my heart.
the roses are shredding my mind
the caged bird croaks and
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp is silenced by the shadows of the hovering hand


bang!
the songs flow through me like bullets through flesh
the movies flash before me like brains on ice
the dances emerge from me like a schizophrenic devil
the aspirations flounder on thermals as
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp it's wings are shorn by the scythes of wrathful words

groan!
the sound of snow falling upon the frozen carcass
the glimpse of light blinding the escape
the whiff of whiff of purfume burdening the valley
the river styx remains continually stagnant by
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp allowing the oppressed senses to exist within the mind

blink!
a year i've spent suffering
a year i've spent exploring
a year i've spent dead
a eulogy written in tribute to you
the one i've never lived
