Lit Pride
It wasn’t long ago that there were only a few people who posted here in the literature forum. Actually, I wondered if it would even survive. For a short time there were only (as I recall) 4 “regulars” that posted often, myself, J.R.V.A.(who was then scrar) Redravin and Rogue49. (If I’m missing someone during that time of beginning, please forgive me.)
Now look at this forum! It is full of so much talent and texture. The vast range of work here is remarkable! To watch it grow and evolve has been great. There is a sense of pride here. I feel kind of like a mother who has watched her baby grow up into this remarkable being. Okay, I know it isn’t “MY” baby here but it is still a great feeling. Thank you to everybody who participates in this little corner of TFP. It is all of you who keep it alive and ticking. I will continue to do what I do and read and respond to the many talented people here. If I miss someone, know it is just that, a miss, nothing personal. Keep up the good work everybody. ~Angel~

There is indeed a sense of trust. I used to be very reserved about who viewed my work and then a wonderful friend (J.R.V.A.) inspired me to "share what I have to offer" with others. And thanks to him and this forum, I have expanded in my horizons.

i noticed about two weeks ago, i think this time frame is correct, i noticed finally a 'third' page...... and it is taking off, as angel said.
i've been posting on old BBS' for years on end... but this place made my blood freeze. i was so nervous... and now i'm thinking..... dude. shut up already heh. cuz now im posting.. .a lot and i love it and for comments. i apologize something fierce and i may be a hypocrite but i scan the titles, ,view my views and go. i just haven't had the time (or taken it) to read em all. i hope it grows! |

Because of encouragement from the fine members of the lit. section I have rekindled a small piece of myself that had lain dormant for many years. By slowly letting my thoughts flow, I have learned to type faster, express thoughts clearer and have been able to communicate more effectively... and make new friends, learn that I wasn't alone and most of all, have fun doing it. YUP! I call that growth.
WOW all because of a little section called LIT. on TFP..
