Pinhead vs. Candyman..... Hell hath no fury
It starts in New Orleans where an estranged brother, Chris and sister, Pamela inherit an old mansion that has been rumored to be haunted. Their crazy old aunt, who raised them in their teens, left them the house after disappearing mysteriously.
Pamela, 30, wants to buy the brother out and turn it into a bed and breakfast. She is a lawyer in LA but the grind and cut throat politics in the firm are killing her and she just wants to find some peace. Chris, is 25, been drifting and living off his parents inheritance. He wants to keep the house, mainly because he has squandered everything and has no where to go. But, also to piss off his sister. Pamela arrives first and starts cleaning the house up. There's an infestation of bees in the attic and she hires an exterminator to clear the out. The swarm in kill the exterminator but, he does get the job done and the bees are gone. She goes up and cleans the attic to find the BOX. She picks it up and plays a little with it. Each little move giving her a feeling of pleasure.... until the shutters slam and the room goes dark. PINHEAD arrives. "We have such pleasures and pain to show you." Meanwhile, Chris is sleeping off a nasty hangover on the side of the road in front of the house. He sees the old beehives his sister and he used to gather honey from for their aunt. As he is looking he thinks he sees someone walking through by them. He runs but to see but no one is there. He finds a diary in one of the dilapidated hives with a mirror in between pages. It's diary from his mother talking about her "rendezvous'" with a man known as CANDYMAN. "I find I cannot help myself every night. I long to see him and he calls to me. Tonight, James was in the attic talking to that old man from the Voodoo shop and I found myself eager to put he kids to bed early. I ran out to the apiary and called his name looking into the mirror, 3 times as always..... Candyman..... I do not know where he hides or why he appears but I find myself becoming more and more distant to everything else...... God, help me." Chris flips through some more pages..... "The days seem to get longer and I more irritable and quick tempered with the kids until I can get out to see my CANDYMAN. I fear James is practicing something dark and evil. He brought home a puzzle box from the Voodoo man's store and has locked himself in the attic only to come down to eat and sleep. Yet he barely touches food and his eyes look so sunken and empty these days. He only wears long sleeves and once when Chris grabbed his arm to ask a question, James winced in pain and threw Chris across the room. I swear I saw blood oozing from James' sleeve I was way too scared to say anything." "Today, we received news James' sister is coming. She has been living in Morocco and this is the first I will have ever seen of her. James never talked much about her, simply saying she was lost and had had a bad affair with one of the inner city kids. James did once say that it ended when his dad and some others in the area 'took care of the boy'. Poor James, so obsessed with whateer is in the attic to not notice his wife falling for another man, running out every night to meet him." He flips to the last 2 entries: "This maybe my last entry. James is onto me. His sister came out last nigh and saw me with Candyman. She laughed and said she would make sure I knew the real Candyman soon. I saw he talking with James shortly there after and then they both went to the attic. Candyman says I should take the kids and leave and never come back or call him again...... but I find I can't even think of such a thing." "I haven't been ale to see Candyman for a fortnight. I do hope he comes tonight. James has invited the Voodoo man over with a few "friends" and wants me to attend a seance with all of them..... James' sister Kathy has taken the kids for the weekend to help her find a place in the city. As soon as I finish writing I shall call Candyman and have a showdown with James. It is time to end this whole charade. God help me as I fear this house and all of us have been taken over by something pure evil." Chris notices it is getting dark, he walks back to his car looks in his rearview mirror and laughs.... "Candyman, Candyman, Candyman...... mom, I love you but aunt Kathy was right.... you were totally nuts." Thus it begins......... Will write more later, feel free to critique, add, etc.

I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following. My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?" |
