Naturally Awake again, the love you send, pulls me from my dream Here with me, is where you be, home is what it seems Alone again, naturally, was written in a song, as one the same, alone together, is what I chose to sing Dreaming dreams, I daydream of, the time we spent together, you know the word, I chose to rhyme your eyes can't match another

the heap of shedded garments swallowed by ravenous white icy fingers draw out a gasp as wind blown strands expose this face, tired and resigned laughter once along the shores lost even from these hazel eyes tears mingle with falling rain waves of salty mist beckon as to the horizon footsteps fall with no last glance behind venus returns to the sea

No fools errand this walk I take tripping on pebbles of wandering thought never it seems the time for a break knowing my stumbling fall wont be caught paved with my faults, and descisions I make 'round the next bend is seen what I sought only to find the treasure is fake worth half the price, this lesson I bought still I will travel for wanderings sake try not to worry and become distraught none of my staggering trips a mistake no fools errand when lessons are taught

Rain fell, refracted through car headlight and the blue flash Of the police lights, and the memory of a sound Kind of like a scream and kind of like a heavy wave Thumping the shoreline. The image we left with Rollerskates and concrete, a horrible velocity, And watered down blood framing the merge left arrow Like a halo, Was metaphorical. She was just a girl, and where her bones collided with the road Looked just the same the next day When the workers at the telephone exchange rolled over the place As it ever did. Around ten, the sandwich van called. And she was dead, flowers tied to the side of the bridge That pulled her down. I never really knew her, but I thought Of her much more when she was dead than when she was here. Even though it was thirteen years ago now she fell. I wonder if such an intention ever cut through her mind Or even half occured, when she hung in the balance That one time, and fell the wrong way. It's kind of typical Of me, that I relate to things this way. I feel bad That I wrote those words, but I let it stand. It's her legacy, or a tiny fraction of it at least. Like a grain of sand, a single crystal of grit Damp and covered in dark, in that layered concrete Square My father built, what, twenty years ago. My mother said she was on drugs, but what the fuck would she know? A guy who's parents knew her parents said it was over a boy What a price to pay, what a load to bare. And so she died, broken off, a fractured path Like a glass riddled with ice, exposed to sudden heat, The pieces scattered everywhere, and I really couldnt tell you Even what colour hair she had, if I'm being honest about it. Rebecca, nothing I could say, would mean a thing, your memory I wouldnt dare disturb, there is a hole in the world The shape of you, and no one see's it. Will ever see it.

A circle squared still has no end, although a few more turns This road that I travel on, the asphalt sometimes burns A hill to climb, a mountain man can't seem to see the crest, even as my steps are slow, it still feels the best I run to where I stop a while, I'm burning up my brakes, a new shoe in another town, sometimes is what it takes I take a drive to places that, I feel I've been before, smiling as I step across, where I've not been before I dream a dream but it won't let, me wake to see whats real I pinch myself again to see, if I really feel I swim up stream to keep me self, above the troubled water The devil says I know not why, that you even bother I stand again upon a crest, I look toward the sky I think of where I've been today, as I let out a sigh I smile inside, a beam of light, the candle's bright my friend The journey that I love to live, for me will never end

I think we can vote if we submit ... just vote for what you think is the best
BUT... I do agree only 4-5 votes and 120 views ... anyone have ideas on how to encourage voting from those not submitting? Maybe Edit the opening post when the poll is put up, and Remind viewers to vote?

if you dont think what you put up is best, youre kind of wasting your time, and if you vote for youself, thats kind of bad form... which just leaves the option of trying to work out who wrote what and vite for the person you like best....
