drunk poem
the edge of you was the other side of me
a flat pallet knife, cutting the masking tape to make my dreams unbound and i kept saying dreams dont mean anything, and you wore glasses with no perscription just a fashion thing so I didnt go for that job So I havent lost much weight this week I guess I havent really got back into playing football Just a bit of five a side I never made a wall And kept you behind it I never tied your hands To the heating pipes I never kiss windows, even when it rains You read the Dan Brown novels Like I didnt know That Jesus was called Rabbi And this meant he had a wife You lecture me about the Bible And dont even know the name of Jesus' brother James And you used to kiss my wrists unthinkingly I cant say what it means How it feels Except the absence of you Makes me less happy That I used to be |
Was that a theme, or did you WRITE that while you where drunk? hehe nice.
