Here's the only thing you will ever need to know about weight loss:
calories in < calories out = weight loss Meaning you will lose weight if you eat right and move your body. If I were you I'd start running, doing crunches and maybe some pushups. I don't know where this myth started, but contrary to popular belief, you don't need a gym to lose weight and get in shape.

Well if you think your muscles are where they need to be, then the biggest thing you need is cardio. If that "stepper thing" is working, then that's probably the best thing.
Also, you don't have to run to be doing cardio, I only walk/hike and have lost 100 lbs in the last 8 months.

I lost 25 lbs 2 years ago when I started eating healthy. I still eat well, but I do not buy junk food or pre-packaged food. And I dont buy ground beef. I eat breakfast, cereal coffee OJ. Lunch is usually 2 ham sandwhiches (ham, mustard, bananna peppers). And dinner is usually something with chicken (pasta, faghita, curry, salad, ...) or a grilled fish fillet. I tend to eat a piece of fruit between breakfast and lunch, and another piece between lunch and dinner. With the fruid snack, I push dinner back till around 7:30. Then I dont eat again till the next morning. I beleive the goal should be 0 saturated fat. I use olive oil when cooking, because I heard it is better than vegtable.
I went from 179->155. Now, with going to the gym about once a week I am up to 160. The thing is that I like being in shape, but do not want to gain significanat muscle mass. |

losing weight is easy if you watch what and how much you eat/drink. Most people seem to think of only food as far as dieting to lose weight. Personaly i have lost 30lbs in the last few months just by changing what i drink from iced tea to minute made light lemonade. < really good stuff btw healthy but dosnt taste all nasty like every other light drink i have found. Even Oj has alot of callories in it. so drink water or something with real low calories. was a easy way for me to lose wight at least.
Oh yeah and processed foods are the devil. cook on your own dont just microwave prepackaged stuff. eat more veggies and less pastas/dead animals. But the most important part is finding a way of eating that you can stick with forever not just a diet to put up with cause that just dosnt work. you end up getting sick of it and gaining the weight back when you give it up. might want to invest in a decent used tredmill if you look around a bit you can get a nice one pretty cheap. i found mine for $25 at a garage sale and its worked great for over a year now. Used excersize stuff is easy to find real cheap. people buy it thinking hey im gonna get myself into shape this year then they get it and let it sit around for a year and never use it then end up selling it. so theres tons of hardly used workout stuff for sale on ebay or garage sales or in the local papers or whatever. Even in winter when its cold and you dont want to workout outside really just try going for a walk. if theres 6 inches of snow even just walking is a real good workout. stay away from the roads though drivers can be too stupid to risk wlaking next to a icy road. Just some random ideas hope at least one of them is useful |
