Chest Pain - NOT heart related
Ok when I was a freshman in college (4 years ago) I could do dips seemingly forever, yeh not forever but I could do a lot. Anyway something happened to me and I don't know what but it really hurts my sternum to do dips now, almost like something broke. Well normally it doesn't hurt but I can't do dips, its instantly too much pain - I suppose cause it pulls the ribs apart. Normally I can just deal with it since it doens't hurt when its not stressed in that way, but if I sneeze sometimes my sternum "pops" and man that hurts, and it will hurt for several minutes afterwards.
Now I know I'm not the only person to have this cause one of my friends has the exact same symptoms. I was just wondering if anyone knows what this really is, and if there is something that can be done to fix it. |

Might be joint pain. Theres a joint where the rib meets the sternum and another joint on the rib itself. These can get inflammed and hurt like hell. Usually very tender to press on. Usually responsive to a good anti inflammatory like alleive twice a day for 5-7 days
