Weird burping problem induced by alcohol vomiting
Ok, so here's the story. Last Friday night I had a huge amount to drink. I woke up in the morning and threw up. Feeling much better, I went back to sleep. When I awoke later that day I noticed I had this constant feeling that I needed to burp... like the feeling of air pressure in your solarplex area. I would almost burp... but nothing would happen. Now it is three days later, and while I have started to burp a little, I still have this weird feeling. It's not painful, but really annoying.
I hardly ever drink, the last time I remember vomiting was probably 8 years ago. Could this weird feeling possibly be from all the odd muscles I used to throw up? If anybody has experienced this I would appreciate your imput.

Going way out on a limb here, but mild heartburn perhaps?
Last weekend I drank Gin and diet 7up for the first time in a LONG time and wow, I got hit HARD with heartburn. I had to take some really strong antacids. Basically it felt like exactly what you are saying but MUCH more severe to the point of being extremely painful.

Pepto Bismol...
I use it when this happens to me... usually Apple Juice or Root Beer are the cause.

I can't remember if the vomit was acidic... just remember seeing a big bowl of... well you know.
Anyway... I am feeling better now. When I get the urge to burp I actually burp! It's very relieving. If this happens again I'll try the peptol bismol thong. Thanks everyone.
