Is this an STD? (nsfw)
I'm a regular poster here on these boards and while there's many secrets I share (including facial shots), I'm not ready to share information such as this. Please pardon my anononimity (sp?), and I apologize if this is in the wrong forum (health and fitness is rather slow these days..)
I've had this...raised area... on the head of my penis for some time now. It doesn't ever change, itch, hurt, etc. It's the only one of it's kind and I've had it for a while now (I probably recognized it first about six months ago). The strange thing is that I've been dating the same girl for about two years now and and I've only tested for STD's before her but not since her, and yes I was clean when I did so. Thanks for any opinions guys. Of course I'll head to a doctor as soon as I have time, but I figure this is a quick route to maybe find something out so I can cease intercourse for the time being until I make an appointment. It's rather hard to notice in general so here's some shots from a good angle and lighting that show it off a little better. I honestly dont see anything unsual -- but you know your body best -if it's a change from what was there before... get thee to a doctor.
Bumps could be anything, from shaving, from heat, from a different laundry soap, different regular soap, anything really. Stop having unprotected sex until you both are tested clean. Why after two years with this woman are you concerned about STD's?

I don't see anything but healthy cock.
I'd still go see a Doctor if you're concerned about it no matter what anyone here tells you. Why would you risk anything less? In the mean time, ~I~ wouldn't worry about it. However, since you've gone to the trouble of registering under an alias, you clearly ARE concerned about it....SO GO TO A DOCTOR. -bear

Hmmm...I know some STDs (like syphillis) can cause rashes/lesions, etc. that don't hurt and stay for awhile...but it didn't look like a rash or anything. However, this not only affects you but your GF, and getting it checked out immediately is the best course. Peace of mind is worth a fortune. Good luck; I hope it's nothing serious.

Thanks for the replies so far guys.
To those that have said things like "I don't see anything unusual.." Do you see what I'm pointing out or do you really not see anything at all? Here's a shopped pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks again. NSFW http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=290597 |

I saw that, and honestly it could be anything - from a heat rash... to an allergy... to an STD...
Herpes is the big STD that stands out in my mind, and I dont think there would be any question as to whether or not you had it. other STD's like Chlymidia dont have many symptoms. The only way you can really know is to go to your doctor (or a clinic) drop your drawers and get a test. Five minutes worth of embaressment will answer your question and you can deal with whatever the outcome is.. Your friends here will help you. (Gawd, I sound like an after school special)

I noticed the head looked slightly swollen, but it didn't look like a sore or anything....it almost looks like the way your skin looks after a mosquito bite. I'd still recommend a visit to the doctor...even if it is nothing it's worth the peace of mind.

Given that the contrast of the pictures are not all that great and that some things are subtle to see in person, I dont see anything worrisome.
Syphilis rashes are typically on other parts of the body, not the penis. It seems like you have never had a STD before, however if you have you will know it. Those lesions really are pronounced. However, the lesion that you are pointing to doesn't look like a STD. Of course "go get it checked out" is a great idea, not to mention great for good general health.

Can you describe the bumps some?
I LOOKS like there are tiny white bumps on there. I know a guy who gets those. They come and go and are not uncomfortable. He has been tested 2 years ago as well as recently for STD's and they have not found anything. They COULD perhaps be just clogged pores/whiteheads. You do have pores all over your body and when you sweat it's easier for them to get plugged. Just try keeping it clean and see what happens. You can also check out the symptoms of all the different STD's here I can assure you that those little bumps do NOT look like warts to me.

..dude..i had something similar on the side of my sac and it was actually a friction burn from playing hockey. I never noticed any pain or discomfort while playing but always had this raised red circle the day after. Looks to me to be something along those lines, especially if you are into martial arts, could be a friction burn from tight shorts or something. Doesn't look STD-ish to me.....

I was going to say it looks like scar tissue or a rash... When you do jujitsu do you find that your penis gets sore from rubbing the inside of your gi?

I'd say it's either a genital wart or or an allergic reaction..... I had both thanks to my ex wife.
Superglide and her nuvuring or whatever it's called caused an allergic reaction and gave me severe dryness and rashes to the point it was like my dick had psoriasis (which I do have above my right eye and on my elbows). She also gave me warts and they started out as tiny bumps and grew into very nasty looking things before just falling off.

I do brazilian jiu-itsu as well... and have experinced many rashes. About the ringworm... if it's ringworm it will itch A LOT, i had it twice at a school that didn't take very good care of it's mats, when you have it you'll know it.
I've also gotten other rashes that weren't from a disease, but from the general rubbing of the clothes combined with the sweat against the skin. Something that may be worth trying is buyingsome sort of underwear that let's moisture pass through and doesn't rub against you. I wear under-armour underwear while grappling to avoid this. But of course, to be really sure you should consult a doctor.

I wouldn't suspect a genital wart. I have personally seen HPV on a male in the beginning, middle and final stages. It begins and ends with a formation that looks similar to a skin colored tag mole in shape and size. It's generally somewhat more firm and dry than a tag mole is though and it usually flakes off. It begins though like a very small tag mole, not like a small vesicle as these appear. Here is a photo of genital warts.
If anything I would suspect jock itch, though you may not be itching it could still be in it's early stages and is not necessarily itchy to begin with. Now ringworm, athletes foot, jock itch, yeast infection, foot fungus are all a different location of the same fungal infection. They are easily treated by over the counter creams such as clortrimazole. There are usually small white flat 'pimples' that eventually pop leaving tiny dips in the skin where the vesicle once was. It is when they pop and spread their clear fluid that they spread their fungal spores. Washing frequently, using a corn starch power such as Mexana instead of a talc powder, and changing your underware frequently and especially after exercise or working out should all help. If it is an allergic reaction or just some minor dermatitis those precautions should show some results. IF the bumps change, grow larger, or you have any other uncomfortable symptoms I would go promptly to a Dr. Even if it is something minor such as jock itch and you go then the worst case scenario is that they can give you a more effective prescription cream for ridding yourself of it more quickly.

Its not ringworm. Its not HPV. Its not warts. Its not going to kill you or cause more harm/anxiety.
![]() This is a good discussion. Anytime you can bring up the topics in an educational and professional manner, you have done well. Discussing this topic is much better than hiding it under a bush and not being open and honest about it. Bravo for the guts its takes to put pictures of yourself like that on the 'net.
