Florida Vacation
Hey all its summer time and that means time for a trip. Me and my friend are going to Florida near Orlando for a week and we have really no clue what to do. It'll probably be the first week in august and we're both 20 years old males. Any suggestions as for fun places? Arcades, theaters, clubs, stores, music venues, anything will be helpful.

Other than all the theme and animal parks in Orlando, if you're gonna be near Kissimmee, there's lot of parks and fairs to hit at night. I liked Skull Kindgom...cool haunted house. There's also a Slingshot and Skycoaster in Old Town Kissimmee. Actually, all of Old Town is pretty cool.
There's this thing called Wonderworks in Orlando which is a big upside down house filled with all sorts of interesting stuff. Those are the first things that come to mind, I'll put more if anything else popps in... http://www.wonderworksonline.com/ Now, as far as night goes, I recommend the Universal City Walk and Downtown Disney Pleasure Island and The Disney Boardwalk as well.

:P I have been busy...I will come to see you I swear ok, so locals stuff....do u like to do outdoorsy stuff? we have beautifull springs that are close to the city for swimming and tubing...hiking trails...some neat shopping avenues...the science center is fun, and the museum. The beach (of course). and dancing...I can give you more specific clubs if you tell me what you like, and that is what you want to do. I am trying to think of what I do on a regular basis..lol...I paint pottery(but that might be a girl thing) and we have a really cool hot tea/saki bar that I love...kayaking on the wekiva river...airboating... you should definatly go downtown to see lake eola and thornton park...and to winter park, there is a fabulous indie movie house in winter park...and any clubbing should be done dwntn too...though citywalk and pleasure island are fun...it is all europeans

I miss orlando.
It really depends on what you're game for. Looking at incredible old homes--drive old Winter Park. Traditional irish pub--Fiddler's Green. Nightlife--Church Street area (there's a travelodge within walking distance that's pretty cheap). Check out the UCF activities, if you're looking for concerts, etc, at times, they have good ones. International Drive has some fun stuff, if you're looking to be a little goofy--water parks, IMAX, the world's largest PlayPlace at the 24 hour McDonalds Downtown Disney/Citywalk can be fun, too. Yeah, i'm a goof. There are tons of cool restaurants and hangouts, just drive around! And, always remember your sunscreen. Asphalt and concrete reflect the sun at certain times of the day. I could never figure out how the underside of my chin would get burned just walking around town. |
