Hairy guy thinking of hair removal
I'm a hairy guy with hair pretty much all over my body. Now with the warmer beach weather coming, I'm thinking it's finally time to get rid of a bit of the hair so I can go to the beach without being too self conscious.
So basically, I have to decide, what do I get rid of, and if it's not everything (I don't think I want to be hairless, that would be too big a step), where do I draw the line? My area of biggest concern is my back hair, I just want it gone. But the problem with my back hair is that is just joins up with my arm hair and my ass/leg hair. Will I have to take off the arm and leg hair too to make it look normal? Or is there some point where I can just stop the hair removal without it being this wierd unnatural line where the hair starts?

hmmmmm, good questions.
If i were you, i would see a professional waxer who would be able to answer all those questions AND give you an amazing result. Women see waxers all the time for even the most intimate of waxing services and men are clients more and more often nowadays for their back and butt hair . . . you should think about seeing one yourself. For a session that you would need, it would probably be about $55-$75 dollars and would last five-six weeks of being hair free. It also doesn't hurt as much as people think it does . . . fairly painless with amazing results. Sweetpea

I would say go with the back wax and use clippers on any other parts (chest etc.) If you really want to give a once-over to other areas, try like a 2 guard on your clippers to "blend" the waxed and trimmed with the non-waxed and trimmed areas. For waxing check with local spas, most offer a bunch of services for guys.

Yes, go and get it waxed for sure. When get a particular part of my body waxed, eventually the hair starts to grow in thinner and in fewer spots. It's great. My sister is an esthetician, and has waxed several mens backs. They know what they are doing, and can do it in such a way that they will make it look good without haveing to take all of your hair off everywhere.

as far as the clippers suggestion, i did that once earlier this year for spring break, on my chest. it was the worst thing that i have ever done. yes, it looked a lot better, having trimmed the hair down, but, for the next couple of wks (around 2) my chest was as itchy as hell, felt like it does when you get a hair cut and you have hair on the back of your neck. not the best experience.
just my 2 cents.

I am a hairy guy. I have shaved and trimmed chest hair and other regions. For your chest there really isn't a good solution shaving makes you itch within a few days and is hard to shave. The coarse hair isn't easy to trim and will razorburn if your not careful. I would go the trimming route since it would be easier with less maintence and time involved. I drew the line with backhair I don't mind everything else being hairy but just not the back. I had my girlfreind wax it. It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be and was pretty quick. As for it joining up with other hair just depends on how hairy you are and where. You can always shave or nair your arms which I did for awhile which was pretty easy to do. Just watch out becoming hairlesis is kinda addicting. At one time I shaved my chest arms and neither regions.

I never had a problem with the chesthair itch after trimming. Fuch shaving though, it only buys you a couple days of less maintainence and will probably leave you with lots of ingrown hairs. Speaking of that, after a back wax you should have you SO scrub your back to exfoliate it and keep you from having lots of ugly ingrown hairs, or do it your self with a loofa-on-a-stick. This whole hair maintainence thing is a pain in the ass, but I have to say I like the look much better when it's all done. I've never been able to convince girls that my back hair was related to my extensive testosterone production which made me better in bed!
