Loving My Woman
Why has loving my woman turned me into a woman? I feel like a giant emotional wuss. I seen myself act girly, and even naggy. What the hell is wrong with me?
|
*the sound of a whip cracking is heard*
Well, it's not necessarily a bad thing to have your woman rub off on you, but if you cry during the movie Titantic, then you might need to spend less time with your GF :p And anyways, I don't think you're turning into an emotional wuss, maybe your inner self is actually an emotional wuss, and she's just bringing your true self out  Or maybe you're whipped :D |
Well I don't cry at movies. But I think it is highly plausable that my inner self is pretty wussy.

There is nothing wrong with that! Be proud of it man. And it takes a real man to admit it. Love it, live it, breathe it. :-) It's okay to be infested with the female gender. It's a good thing. It's often said that the more we are around someone, we tend to become like them, look like them, speak like them, and eat like them. I don't know how true it is, but I think it's a lovely thing. :-)

haha yeah, i have noticed myself stealing my girlfriend's head gestures lately
i didn't even think head gestures EXISTED, now i am horking them from my girl |

Yeah, because being all hard and tough all the time is such a wonderful thing...
I used to be that way too, my friend. I don't know that it's being in love that has done it so much as just growing up. I find that when I'm able to be vulnerable and open with people, and really tell the truth about my experience and emotions, amazing things can happen. |
there's nothing wrong with having emotions. You can still be a "macho" guy and have emotions and be deeply in love with someone. I'd rather be like that than keep them all bottled up inside. Be proud that you have someone that you can be like that with.

All I can say is that I think your girlfriend is a very lucky woman. :)
And Ratbastid, I LOVE your avatar. :D |
Maybe its me, and although I do agree that the ability to be open with your emotions with the one that you love is important, does anyone think that guys are being ''feminized''? I just see that over the years, men are expected less and less to be men, which moves us to a gender neutral society. Am I out of whack in thinking that men and women have certain roles, and theres nothing wrong with a man being strong and silent and the woman being the emotional part of the equation?
|
No offense, not all men are created equal, not just physically but emotionally as well. I get chocked up watching a sad movie sometimes and yet I did not shed a tear when all my grandparents and my father passed away. Some of us (guys) are just more girly/metrosexual than others. I don't think there is anything really wrong.

I'd say on all other accounts I act like a super charged man, I'm all about chivalry, I watch home construction and mechanic shows, I like to build stuff and get pissed off while doing it, I'm a horn dog and look at to much porn, I like to break things, I'm super competeitive, and generally lax about cleanliness. Just when my mind is on her I can be the biggest sap, which is the good aspect but, I can also get so moody and insecure, that's the part I hate.

Love does strange things to everyone. It's so 1950 to be thinking that emotions and moodiness are making you "less matcho", just as it is so very lame to say that men can only be one way (manly) and to be less than "manly" means you're a girly man, or a homsexual. I mean, if all men were perpetually stuck in the "I have to me a man's man!" then no one would have ever found out that a woman sticking her finger up her man's ass and rubbing his P-spot would result in blow-the-roof-off orgasms.
Being moody and emotional happens to everyone. Perhaps, MEAD, your GF has made you more in tune with the emotional side of yourself, and you feel comfortable letting that out for the first time. That's a good thing, no matter what the insecure-in-their-own-masculinity types say! oh, and by your definition of you being "super-manly", I know a LOT of straight women who apparently are men! |
