I'm taking a 7 day cruise stopping at San Juan, St. Thomas, Barbados, Dominica, and Aruba. On our days off the boat, I'd like to get as far away from the tourists and tourist area as possible. I'm looking for sites, for drugs, and for adventures. If you have a story or information, I'd be very thankful for it.

I would love to know where I can get some money so I can go to the Caribbean too. Anyways, have a great time on your trip.

That's freaky, I'm going on a exactly the same trip. Only it's a year from now. I'm looking to start gathering information on each spots as well. The resources from the ship's site and other places are non-existent. There are a number of personal websites but they aren't that too reliable.

Northern Dominica, there is a cool old fortress with a spectacular view of the bay. I didn't when I was there, but probably a cool place to get stoned

Try checking out the mangrove swamps on the north side of Aruba if you get the chance. It is not all that exciting, but it is interesting and few others head up there. I took a tour on my cruise and only a few others went along. It was a nice high speed boat ride up and back and the plant life was something you won't see elsewhere.
