Travel packages to Southern Italy
Hello!
Currently I'm an American living in London for six months. When my visa is up I would like to travel a bit before going home. Southern Italy is definatly in my plan. I was wondering if anyone has experience with 2-5 day trips to Naples, the Isle of Capri, and Southern Italy/Sicily? It can start in Rome but I want it to go to southern Italy. I would also preffer if it was a tour for 18-35 year olds. Any info is great. Even if its just tour companies to try. Thanks! Steve

if you're not set on southern italy, think about checking out rome, tuscany, venice, cinque terre etc also/instead. the south, if you didn't know, has a fair bit more crime and is a bit less friendly to tourists. it is quite beautiful in parts, though.
i'd skip over capri and instead check out Pompeii - it's not to be missed if you're nearby. and if you do go there, be sure to get some pizza at Pizza Margherita by the Circumvesuviano (train station). Naples is good for a day trip. never been to sicily. if you can find someone to travel with, avoid a tour company. it's not hard to get around even if you don't speak the language and you'll appreciate the freedom |
