Good gloves to wear for basketball?
It's starting to get really cold out, to the point where when I got out to shoot hoops it hurts to breathe due to the cold air.. However, my concern is instead with my hands.
They get really cold, and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good pair of gloves (as for what type, I have no idea), that would restrict my shooting as little as possible, but also provide some semblance of warmth? I like to go out and shoot when I can, but in this cold weather it's usually only for an hour tops.. If my hands would be warmer I think I could stay out longer (and I want to), because if I stay out too long they start to feel like two paddles, and not hands with five fingers on them. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know how cold it gets where you are but have you seen/heard of the mechanics gloves? They are made to keep mechanics hands clean but have some grip to them. I think these are the gloves. or similar facsimile.

I've always used receiving gloves, they seem to be the closest thing you can get to a second layer of skin.

Hey, if you love to play enough, you'll do it under almost any condition.

I don't play basketball, so I haven't personally tried but I think a pair of very lightweight cyclists gloves might work. They're stretchy, and most have some textured rubber dots or patterns on the palms which should help with ball handling.
