In the Caribbean it's all good! :D I own a house on the 4th USVI - called Water Island. It's very close to St. Thomas so that should orient you geographically. More about the USVI's can he found here: VI NOW.com The USVI has some great attractions and many choices for your vacationing enjoyment. The Caribbean is much more than just the USVI though so....a few more questions for you. What sorts of things would you like to do in the Caribbean? Are you interested in partying and night life? Or do you want to explore the island, maybe scuba dive or go deep sea fishing? Are you a golfer? A shopper? If you can share more of what you want to do while visiting we might be able to help you with some better suggestions. |
More for the partying and night life

cancun? its supposed to be absolutely full of college and young adult partying...but feb may not exactly be the height of the season

St Vincent or Tobago. I'm tellin ya now.. perfect beaches. Take it from someone whose family lives in the carribean. If you're there at the end of Feb, then you wanna go to Trinidad for CARNIVAL!

I've visited St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Had a great time in both places. If you go to St. Maarten, live on the Dutch side, but party on the French side. I also went to Nassau in the Bahamas, but I observed that if you didn't bring a shitload of money for one of the resorts, the rest of the island is pretty crappy.
But I'll agree with kjroh... you really can't go wrong if you're in the Caribbean. -Mikey |
Club Med - -Turks and Caicos
Beautiful area - -and Club Meds (this one is adults only) are all inclusive resorts -- meaning once you arrive - you don't pay for anything... It also has awesome diving - which if you are in the Carribbean -- you just gotta do it. The Grenadines are gorgeous... St Vincent and Petit St Vincent (though that seems to be a honeymoon destination) the beaches are as clean as you will ever see and the weataher is perfect. |
St. Thomas. St John is awesome if you've got the $$ for the private resorts ;) Didn't like Grand Cayman as it's highest elevation is around 40 feet and I'm not one for the flat geopgraphy ;)

Club Med was a little too summer campish for my tastes -- but if you are not antisocial (I am) it was a good time. and if you drink like a fish, it's a good deal...

At this time of the year I'd be heading to Ibitha /Ibiza off the coast of Spain :)

Flights to Puerto Rico are by far the cheapest right now, especially out of JFK airport in NYC...not sure where you're traveling from.

Went to Couples Negril in Jamaica in the summer of 2003. Great all-inclusive resort. I can't wait to go back. We had a blast, absolutely beautiful beach. All ages. A lot of honeymooner in there 20's to people in there 60's. Plenty of activities, on and off the resort. Here are some pics from our trip.
