So today i check my bank account and $299 is missing
Yep, i dont know where it went.
Well, i was ballanceing my checking today, and i noticed that there was almost $300 missing from my bank account. I'm not sure where it went, and i clearly do not remember buying anything that expensive. my debit card never leaves my side and i rarly ever use it online. so i dont know what happened. the account's with wachovia and tomorow or monday i'm going to call them and see whats up with this. I know the last major thing i paid for that was almost $300 was a class in college. I dont know if they double charged me or what. I've been double charged before by a certen fast food place, but never $300. So does anyone have any ideas of what i should do? should i just wait until monday and call them or call them tomorow? I'm kinda at a loss here. |

Have you checked your statement, either on line or on the phone to see what the last deductions were?
Have you used any cash machines lately that are not associated with a bank? (Had an aquantance get some money "stolen" from that that way? Check your statement, and see what the deductions were...

I looked at my statement and the 300 was missing from there also. there isn't a credit or anything for that amount (it hasn't updated yet). I haven't used an ATM in a week, and the only ones i use are the ones associated with the bank. I have this really odd feeling that my school has double charged me. I dont think i've been ripped off, but who knows with this stuff. |

go to your bank's website and log in to your account, then go over every transaction with a fine-toothed comb. this is something you can figure out yourself, if you have the sense to do it.

i've rooted out that its a charge that hasn't show up on my statement yet that way. i also figured out that i'm missing the exact amount that my class cost. |

call their 800 number, they can usually tell you all the stuff and help you figure it out. at least Bank Of America is GREAT about it. They even call me when I go making lots of large purchaces.. when I moved I spent like $2g's in a day in multiple charges(I bought my pots and pans here, my plates there, some bedding in the mall...)so they suspended my card and called me to confirm it!
just call their 800 number 24/7 |

Did you encounter this difference in amount recently? If your last statement was correct at least you know it wasn't a problem back then. I would call your bank ASAP to find out what happened. If it is fraud, you should be able to get that money back
