want bigger calves

I was curious if anyone had any advice for improving the look of my calves. I have tried lots of exercises including taking a spin class, but I still don't have the results I want. Any suggestions, sorry if this question has been posted before. I am new around here.

Well i just did a search on google for Building calf muscles and found a bunch of sites that could be of help. And if that doesnt work, you can be like the guy on MTV truelife and get calf implants. j/k that guy was an idiot.

Thanks for the link. Oh yeah, I saw the calve implant episode. That was the craziest thing I have ever seen. And we talk about girls having fake breasts. I think I will stick to calve workouts vs. the implants. I want my results to come from working out, not a scalpel.

There are also shoes you can purchase that have tall soles but normal heals. You jog around in these.

A spin class will only increase the long fibers which produces lean muscles. Weight trainng creates large muscle if you move to heavy weight.

That routine mentioned previously looks pretty hard. I think I'll give it a try!

Get on your bike, seriously. It works the all the various leg muscles and also if you play around with the seat you can adjust it to allow different muscles to take more of the strain.

Ditto. Ive got the best calf definition Ive ever had from cycling. Look at cyclists' legs--everything, including the calves, are stacked.

Thanks!! I do spinning at the gym and it has helped, but I will have to get out of my mountain bike a little more. I really would like a road bike, but my budget can't afford the one I want right now.
