I need some advice lol
Ok so my friend was dropping me off from school one day and we where messing around and i put my Text book under his tire. He asked if he could peel out on it so i said sure i didnt think anything would happen. Well to make a long story short the book got totally trashed and i had to pay for it. I dont have a job so technically my mom paid. I told her half the price and my friend gave me the rest but the problem comes in when i couldnt tell my mom what happend instead i made up some bullshit story. Well on the final exam day the teacher was being cool with me and i kinda told her the real story so she e-mailed my mom and told her im still deniying it and dont know what to do my mom is sugggesting a conference what should i do?

Go to your mom, tell her exactly what you just told us, and tell her it was stupid to lie to her in the first place.

ok that sounds good if you have nevfer lied to your mom before... But i have lied to her to much and gotten caught.
Times Ive Lied Mom heard i smoked weed Forged moms name on progress report Hiden Detentions Told her didnt get progress reports Told her im doing good in school Told her stuff was teachers fault Blah blah blah to many to think about man i lie way to much my resolution for next school year is to do better and stay honost. |
Tell her: "here is the money for the book, whatever happenned to it is absolutely none of your business; nor is it the business of my back stabbing teacher"
|
Step back, take a look at the big picture. Do you want to be caught in a web of lies with your mom for a long time to come. You have to be honest some day, and it's never too early to start.

There are two problems with chronic lying. First you have to keep track of who you told what lies to just so you can keep an ever increasing web of lies intact and second, the more you lie, the easier it becomes. I won't even bother to mention personal integrity and honesty, qualities which will get you farther in life than lying all the time. The bottom line is you fucked up but wouldn't take responsibility. Get some cajones and do what you already know is right. |
Honesty.
Oh, and get a job. Then pay your mom back. If you can't get a job WORK for your mom to pay it off. Show her you really care. You only have one mom. Don't fuck up your relationship with her. |
Apologize to your Mom and tell her the truth. She will respect you for that. And, it never hurts to throw in a "I love you and I'm sorry I let you down."

Let me get this straight, you let your friend burn out on your book thinking nothing would happen?

I'm with Ashton on this one..
DUDE WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!! You never took physics did you? :p AND you lied to your mum... Fudge mate.. I try to keep the nominal as possible.. like small things.. but anything that involves money... Ok well.. try to rectify the 'trust bond' between you and your mum.. cause they can be the.. they can be.. um.. they're your mum and they're there when you need them most. |
Easy solution:
Teacher under one wheel, mom under the other and PEEL OUT! |
LOL it wasn't your physics book was it?
|
If she catches you in lies why do you continue to lie? It just makes it worse.
Ok so I don't sound to preachy. Try this "yea mom I let my friend peel out on my book but hey you know how we kids do stupid things sometimes". Then try to look real cute. It always worked for me. |
