No, I'm not training to become a ninja capable of destroying a horde of rampaging killbots. I've recently taken up meditation, it has improved my memory, and made me much more focused. I believe that T'ai Chi would be a similarly good influence. and yes, I do know that western culture has made a bit of a mockery of eastern diciplines by exaggerating them to the max. Also, I do a lot of climbing, which involves paying attention to your body and the way it moves. I think this will help my technique. |

Sounds like the right reasons. I wish you the best with it and wish I could find the time to train regularly in it myself.
I need to find a good martial arts school near me. My dad (brown Kung-fu and Karate) trained me as a kid with a lot of the basics and principles in order to give me enough knowledge to let me decide what I would want to study later in life. I still need to make good on his investment and I'm around the right age to make a mature decision about it. |
