Pooping out your insides
 

To make a long story short, a buddy of mine told me he had to poop really really bad yesterday and I told him not to poop his insides out as a joke. The question at hand... What is it called when part of your lower intestine sticks out of your anus. We're not talking inches here, just a little tiny bit. I know it's a weird question, but I'm just curious. I thought it was a hernia, but that's not right.

My cat has a partial prolapse... not as bad as this in the slightest. We call it his "jube of power"

There is a big difference between hemorhoids and a prolapsed rectum or colon. The prolapse is when the rectum or colon actually get pulled out and extend out of the anus. It is basically turning your intestines inside out. Hemorhoids accur when the walls of the blood vessels weaken and start to bulge.

That pic is so gross. I've heard of porn chicks getting prolapsed anuses.

I was going to post an example of a human prolapse but I figured it would be too much for most... ;)

I saw a photo of a guy trying to beat a personal best dead lift or clean and jerk, don't remember which. He literally blew his colon out his asshole and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Hey, I gotta question, out of curiosity, can someone explain a hernia to me, cause aparently i had one when i was born or something and i got a scar but no idea what it is

I recently had a colonoscopy. During my first visit to the doctor, a British medical textbook was in the room and I thumbed through it. When he came in, he took the book and described what was happening in several pictures on several pages.
One of the points he made more than once was that it's way too common for people to "literally try to crap out things that are attached." He strongly advised to, as the old saying sort of goes, poop and get off the pot. And don't read; the act of sitting on the toilet creates a strain that shouldn't last any longer than necessary.
Much of that was news to me and sort of begins to answer the question posed at the beginning of this thread.

A Hernia is when your intestines break through your muscle walls. Your intestines are kept in place by muscles and tissues. With too much strain and/or weak muscles, the intestines can pop through. My brother had this happen to him. It poked out by his belly button, so he had this bulge in his gut. An operation will fix things right up. But commonly things'll burst through into your scrotum sack, cuz it's a weak point for most men.
