Basketball to burn fat?
I really hate running in place, and its getting pretty cold right now outside. Has anyone had success getting rid of some baby fat from playing basketball about 5 times a week?
I also walk about three miles a day going to class, and I follow a moderate weight lifting plan, mostly for tone and not to get huge. |
not really but my endurance has gone way up since i started playing. I think it might be my eating habits.

If you play hard enough, basketball can be as challenging as long distance running. I'd say if you play 30min to 1 hour or basketball every other day, you'd stay in good shape, and would probably lose some weight :)

i think it will help by building endurance and definately great exercise, i don't think it will help about the baby fat.

I hate to run, but when I play basketball I have a reason to run. The best exercise is the one you actually do, not all the ones you talk about.

It will burn a ton of calories and boost your metabolism..assuming you eat properly, it should help you burn a lot of fat.

When I was in high school, I went from 250+ lbs to 225 lbs from playing basketball almost every day. Now I'm back up to almost 250 lbs. because I only find time to play once a week if I'm lucky. :(
