Jobs overseas?

Does anyone know of a free website to look at entry level jobs(of almost any sort) in Australia, or the Caribbean?

Yeup, thats my question, google just turned up a bunch of pay sites. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Stare...

im in australia.. there are a few jobsites here you can have a look at, they are all free. if ure in the US or UK, i dont think ud have a problem coming here on a working visa.. half of UK is in sydney at the moment..just take a walk down to bondi beach! lol

anyways.. free job websites..
www.mycareer.com.au is the most popular one
www.jobs.com.au is another popular one
also try recruitment agencies in austrlia..just google it, you'll come up with heaps..pretty sure there are a few free ones..

as for job prospects..construction in brisbane is on the rise..sydney has been on a construction high for a while, so we are expecting a down turn soon, but nonetheless always busy..otherwise, sydney is the place to be..pays better than most cities, depending on what you do...

anyways..anything else, let me know

Come to Ireland !!!
http://www.irishjobs.ie/ has loads of vacancies - we need about an extra 50,000 people a year over the next 5 years to keep up with the booming economy :D

maybe better pay, but that is offset by the high cost of living especially in rent. For the same amount of money you could live in a dog box in sydney or a more spacious place with less air pollution, traffic congestion and less nsw'men ( :D ) in say a place like Brisbane :D

well sydney has the atmosphere.. if u wanted a bit more surf and sun, brisbane or gold coast is the place, but its not as fast paced as sydney.. as for rental.. a unit costs between 200-250 per week rental in sydney suburbs about 20km from the CBD.. i dunno about brissi.,,any idea ragingbull?

Boy would I love to move to Ireland! My wife would too, but I doubt that she would move that far from her family. I searched don't see my position anyway. I'm a CADD Manager for a civil engineering, survey and architecture company. If anyone is looking, for the right price, I'm for sale. If Bush wins again, I really need to find another country to live in.

Hey FatherTed, how hard is it to get a work visa there? If it doesn't wor out with my SO, I might check out moving that far away. I've never been there, but have always wanted to, as my family is from there.

Thanks for the sites, Brisbane looks like an interesting place, whats the weather like there?

dlish 10-20-2004 04:30 PM

i dunno what ohio is like, but queensland (the state that brissi is in) has a motto.. "ahh queensland..beautiful one day..perfect the next"..remember those ads on tv anyone? or am i showing my age?..dammit im only 26! anyways.im only in QLD in summer, its always hot then..anything a few hrs north of sydney is nice most year round (on the east coast anyways). sydney aint bad, except a few weeks a year where it get a tad cold, but then again i have a low threshold for cold. try www.worldatlas.com . you should find some info on there

Does get a tad hot in summer, but not that hot. Hey I was born and bred in Darwin (before moving to Brissy) which is in the northern tropics of Australia so i know what hot and humid is! In winter the temperature is beautiful. Not too hot not too cold. Most days in winter the maximum temperature hits 20-21 degrees celcius.

For Australian weather, you can always check out the bureau of meteorology web site:

Anyone have information on the rest of Europe (Spain or Italy specifically)? How about for work visas in the EU?
