Any thoughts on business software. Am trying Quickbooks now. Any comments or recommendattions?

Quickbooks should work fine for you. Other products are similar, but QB is by far the most popular program.

And pmkuon, I'm sure I speak for most of the board that posts here that we don't mind answering a few of your questions, but you might want to consider biting the bullet and spend the few hundred bucks to sit with a CPA for a couple hours and bounce your questions off them, since you seem to have quite a few of them.

Yeah. I plan on seeing an accountant. The business doesn't start till Feb 05. Just trying to gather info. Sorry for the multiple posts.

I think a lot of it depends on what kind of business you are starting.

I started a web design company 3 years ago and all I have had to use is Quickbooks. However, I have experience in other software, like Peachtree, which can be more powerful than QuickBooks.

So, if you are just paying vendors, accepting money (invoices etc) then QuickBooks is great.
