Also check out http://www.keyhole.com/ they have a client you download and it works just like a map program zome in, pan, overlay streets and names.. It's a service you have to pay for, but you can d/l the client for free and I think you get a free week trial.. It's cool. :cool:

that key hole program rocks, but the company has a tendacy of sending you LOTS of spam, I have been to lazy to see if you can opt out, but i think you can.

Yeah, I've always used a Yahoo! address or one I don't care if it gets spammed. I tried to d/l and install the client again, but some how it finds out I've installed it before and won't let me again.

Pretty cool, except those images are really old. Lots of new buildings have gone up and they're not in these pics.

That is too cool! Except, yes, the pictures are old. The shot of my dad's house in the country show his field as almost bare where now it's full of 8-10 ft. pines. My old Escort is parked outside the pole-barn and I got rid of it about 3-4 yrs. ago. The driveway is also a two-track when my dad had it semi-paved with gravel at least 3 yrs. ago.

In a way it was actually neat to see a picture of the property as it was in the past.

If your using the Keyhole client, go here and it will tell you what year your locations data came from and it lists the resolution its at.
