Shin Splints - Cure Them
I ran for 3 days a week, mon wed fri. Doing intervall training on a treadmill.... Now my shins are in pain ... Any suggestions on how to cure them? I will try biking instead of running for a while, anyone know of a good website to go to for running so I can stop the pain?

Just take a break from running for a bit. That's what I did. Let them heal. You can still excersice the upper body. Nowadays I go to the gym and use the elliptical machine allot more than running/treadmill cause it's easier on the legs. I also don't have to worry about traffic. Also, make sure you have good running shoes. They can lessen the impact on your legs.

I had the same problem playing soccer and the only real solution is rest. Once you have rested them you can strengthen them by wrapping a towel around under your toes and holding it taught. Then point you toes up and down while holding the towel tight for resistence. There's a slight slender muscle that runs right up the middle of your shin that gets worked and needs rest like other muscle groups.

Do this at least once EVERY day:
Sit in a chair. Stick your leg out a bit. Write the alphabet in the air with your toes. Now do the other leg. I used to run 50 miles a week. This worked for me.
