Credit Card Application Question
I am looking to get a better deal on my credit cards and was looking on line for information and rates. I visited a couple web sites (http://www.comparecc.com and http://www.4comparison.com) that compare credit card offerings. I did not know you could apply online.
Is it safe to apply online and are the rates as good or better than mail offers? Any help would be appreciated. |

I work for a credit processing company, and our standard procedure is the customer has to call in for verification if they are approved, before we will open their account to ensure the customer is who they say they are. As for them being better than the mail offers, the mailers are sent by credit processing companies with a "preapproved" notice based on the information that they can access in your credit report. If your credit has changed since the time the mailer has been sent out, you may qualify for a better or worse offer.
