ingrown hairs
Hey,
I am having a problem with ingrown facial hair. Some of them are just bumps that are apparent, but others are not. Some of the ingrown hairs don't form bumps. Instead they continue to grow straight under my skin. They are almost invisible until they have grown really long and it can be seen faintly under my skin. I have managed to get the ones I see out and the longest one I've pulled out was over an inch long . Any ideas what might be causing this and how to prevent it from happening? Thanks, Robert |

Exfoliate. Hair doesn't get trapped so easily if you use a gentle exfoliating cleanser to get rid of dead skin and debris. Make sure you use warm water to soften the hair and open the pores, both when you shave and when you wash your face. Use a good, sharp razor, good shaving cream/gel and go in the direction of hair growth. If you're using a dispoable, you should change it once a week, more often if you shave every day. Don't press too hard, let the razor glide over your skin. If it isn't doing the job it should be doing, it is time to replace your blade. Sometimes it helps to shave less often, every other day, or every third day.
Good luck. I've shared with you all the knowledge of shaving that I have acquired through personal experience as a woman and what I've learned in dealing with my SO.

let it grow out and then use a good facial lather. Make sure you its softened up when you do shave. and I read to use a soft bristled tooth brush to massage your face to get the hairs to stop from growing back into the skin. and use a good aftershave lotion and facial creme before and or after. And ALWAYS shave with the grain.
