So I have Balanitis..
Yeah, This morning when I went to the shower, took one look at my dick, thought "Wow, it grew even more!"
Then I thought something was wrong here.. The skin around my head (Im uncircumsized) was HUGE! And the rest of my dick was the same size So I looked on WebMD for diseases with symptoms (SP?) like this and came up with Balanitis. Quote:
Has anyone had this before? How do I treat it? Does it go away? |

It could be a "simple" bacteria infection, in which case you need antibiotics. It could be a VD. It could be fungal. If you haven't, in the future, wash under your foreskin more often. This can reduce the chance you will get it again.

Good for you. I had similar problems about 3 weeks ago. I used some bacterial cream and the whole problem seemed to go away. Just remember to keep it clean and dry dude.

Sorry to bring this back from the very dead but searched and got this.
I think that i might have this, Balanitis. I noticed it couple weeks when wanking that I couldnt really pull my foreskin as far back as I usually could (I'm uncircumsized). When I think back it "seems" to have occured after using some no-name brand condom (was in a bind). After reading the same article from WebMD, being a guy, I figured even more regiment cleaning would make it go away instead of a visit to the doctor's. But it has not and hence this thread. I know that I've gotta see a doctor about this, but I got some questions: Do I just go to my regular family doctor? Or do I need to see some type of specialist? Or will my doctor refer me to a specialist? Or is there some over the counter "anti-something" that I can buy? I'm really hoping that there's an over the counter thing cuz it feels kinda embarrasing to go to a doc's office and just drop my pants (i know they're professionals but still). any help is appreciated. |

It's embarrasing, but it's necessary. It might not be anything. Even if it is, your gp can probably treat it. If you need to see a specialist, he'll refer you.
Just bite the bullet and go. When it comes to the wang, you really don't want to take any chances.

It is tough for me to comprehend how someone can wait for advice from us to see a doctor, especially when it's your best friend. You should be posting a thread on your way out the door!!
