huge appetite

ok here's my deal, haha

I've been working out for a decent amount of time, probably since about 16 and I'm 18 now. I've increased my weight and strength, decreased my fat, yada yada. My issue is my hunger. I can have 3 normal meals a day and come home at night and be able to eat a whole other meal at 12:00am.

Any ideas as to what is a good late night snack to satisfy me but not be loaded with saturated fat, etc? Or perhaps a way to control that hunger? I'm sure I should just be giving my body what it is asking for, but it is summer and I'm trying to rip my abs at the same time. Be warned, I just ate a sleeve of Ritz crackers and am still searching for food

Also consider getting yourself some meal replacment shakes, quick and easy, with everything your body needs.

Overall, I'de take the advice of others and split your meals up, getting ripped abs on a 3 meal a day plan doesnt work unless your in a massive deficincy and your ok with losing muscle.

I can help you some but I need to know more then your just 18 and need to know what you eat during those 3 meals because if you really want to get as lean as possible your gonna need some major changes ;p

Also, I'm not sure who told you this but eating before bed isn't bad as long as its a semi controled meal, the key is to eat a very small meal (very few calories should be smallest meal of day) so that your body has something to feed on in the night but not to turn to fat.

However, before bed I recomend avoiding carbs, due to the very long time it would take your body to digest a large meal of carbs it could slow progress due to insulin being pumped through your body the entire night, so if you want something before bed something like cottage cheese and a tbsp of peanut butter or something like that would be good (casein doesn't cause much an insulin spike)

But if you want some real help post your stats and your meals currently please ;/

oh, my bad for not posting stats haha.

I'm already in good athletic condition. I'm 6'3 and about 197 pounds. I'm pretty toned all over. My stomach is toned and flat but I just don't have the pack Any other stats you'd like to know? Um, I'm running 2+ miles every other day, weightlifting M-W-F (do you wanna know weightlifting stats?)
