Wheatgrass Juice, your experiences?

I figure I should stop lurking and actually start contributing now and then... Anyway, I received some wheatgrass juice powder in the mail today, and I'm just wondering if any of you have had any experiences with it. Most of the sites that sell it gush about it; that leads me to believe that they're exxagerating.

Let me know what you think!

powder? I believe you get higher benefit when freshly juiced.

It really is great though. 1 shot apparantly counts for 2 1/2 pounds of dark green leafy veggies, and it will help purge toxins from your body. Just take it with a full stomach- if you haven't eaten in a while, it'll be a fair shock to your system and you'll get a stomach ache

It says that you should take it on an empty stomach to get the best absorption. I'm sure freshly juicing it is best, but I don't have the money or time to grow it and juice it myself.

Take it mixed with another fresh juice, like carrot apple, or orange strawberry banana. Or chase it with something else. I believe it has a high anti-oxidant factor, which makes it so attractive to the drink-and-eat-stuff-to stay healthy crowd. I have it every so often.

So, let us know how the powder is? I don't have access to any juice bars around here, and am still interested.

The powder is going really well, actually. I don't know how it compares to fresh shots since I've never had them, but I'm fairly satisfied. Today is my third day taking it, and i'm only at a half dose since it says to start off slow to avoid rapid detox. I'm feeling good, but I've also been doing hiit in the morning and been sleeping well, so it may just be a big combo of things.

One plus is that the powder was pretty cheap, if anyone's interested I bought ithere. It was about 20 dollars with shipping.

I have never heard of powered wheat grass but I do know quite a bit about the liquid and damn I might just gush. I used to work at smoothie king and we had a juicer so I would take a shot every time I felt a sore throat or some sort of other illness coming on (which happened pretty often because it was fall and I had to ride my bike to work every day which wasn't necessarily close to where I lived) but with a double shot in the morning and maybe a single shot in the evening I would feel great, with no signs of illness the next day. Thought there were days when I did catch a cold because I just didn't take the shot and got sick (damn I hate colds) when this happened I would take a double shot in the morning and the evening (or just once a day if I couldn't do both) and even with the worst colds I just took two days to heal back to normal. good stuff that wheat grass shit though it should be taken like a shot of voldka or Jager (into the system as fast as possible while trying not to taste it). Once I got the courage to swish it in my mouth because my boss told me it was good for your gums, yeah, I almost puked, great experience.
By the way I have also heard that more fresh the wheatgrass juce the better the healing qualities.

yep. I work at boosterjuice (canadian franchise) and we sell fresh wheatgrass. It's super awesome for you, but I don't like the taste.

oh and it's good to take some sort of citrus juice (like apple, orange, or pinapple juice) afterwarrds because the wheatgrass stuff can stain your teeth. (the citric acid will wash it away)

The JambaJuice near one of my offices serves it with a wedge of orange, I just figured it was to kill the taste. Interesting.

haven't tried the fresh stuff yet, but will have to soon.
