Bigger wrists
I would like to have bigger wrists. My forearm has been decent sized and have been steadily getting bigger, but my wrists have remained exactly the same. I know this because I bought a watch this time last year, but it looked too big on my wrist. The links were adjusted so that they were slightly too big for me, and now a year later, they are still too big. I figured that I wasn't going to wear the watch anyway because it looked a little big and awkward, so I didn't adjust it. A year of doing forearm and wrist exercised has increased my forearm size, but my wrists are still the same, and the watch still looks awkward. Am I destined to have skinny wrists forever?

I think the width of the wrist is pretty much fixed by bones, but you can deepen it
I noticed press-ups were doing this a little for me, but reverse wrist curls sound like a good idea

You really can't get bigger wrists (as far as I know) because the wrists are mostly made of bones and few muscles.
For the most part the size of your wrist is genetic and most of the time indicates your body size (your wrists are scaled to your entire body hense the reason people are asked to take wrist measurments to find their body size) Overall, you can do wrist curls to build stronger wrists (also wrist curls target the forearms alot more then wrists in alot of cases anyway) but don't expect size gains on your wrist unless your still growing. |

As for being scaled to my body size, I think that's pretty interesting. I have skinny wrists and knees compared to my brother (or anyone for that matter) but I'm "bigger" in terms of height and strength. I guess I'm destined to remove allmost all the links on any watch I buy. |
