a general hair-related question

so i have funky hair, it just flies all over the place. cowlick city, with at least three distinct ones. the question is, i just noticed this today, and this is after a day of wearing a bandana, so my hair is actually pressed down, not just fluffed out like it normally is after being cleaned or dried off.

so is this a bald spot, or just the resuly of a funky cowlick's pattern on pressed hair?

Looks like the hair just isn't covering it. I don't think you're going bald

naw... baldness isn't a major concern, this is just more of a passing curiosity at 3 in the morning...

Nope your not going bald. I had these times where like I scratch my chest and I feel a bump and I'm like OMG its a lump and then start obsess even though im a guy. You know for some reason my hair grows really fast and I lose a lot of hair at the same time. It totally freaks me out. Its like a dog lives in my room but doesn't.

i vote cowlick because the hair around that spot still looks very thick.

it would be awfully weird for you to start going bald like that... usually your hair will get thinner and thinner in areas till you're bald, not start in one place and work its way out, destroying all the hairs in its path like an atomic explosion.

Cowlick.

Actually, upon further review, I have determined that you accidentally lit a small portion of your hair on fire.

Scientifically, there will always be one "bald spot" in your hair. If you care, you can probably find the proof online somewhere. The same proof can be used to show that at some point on the earth, the windspeed is zero.

The proof doesn't work as well if your hair isn't lieing flat. =)

Ah, here is a varient on it: the hairy ball theorem!

The actual theorem he is talking about is the Brouwer fixed point theorem for the disk. (disk-only version is easier).

Edit: Fixed a formatting mistake.

My boyfriend wears bandanas constantly and always gets cowlicks from them.

Besides even if it was a bald spot you still would be amazingly cute

im not saying theres anything wrong, i think from some angle, you can always see through your hair. But try using a different conditioner, to make your hair more thick and even. And start combing your hair, it doesnt look like you do. Itd be a real mess if you didnt keep it short. Brush the top back (crown) of your hair down and back with your hand (maybe you should brush back the sides of your hair too, like past the ear) after showering unless you like having high hair, then just brush all your hair up in a mohawk fashion

I was just going to suggest cutting your hair short or even bleaching it to make the spot less noticable. I am sure it's just a cowlick.

Baldness is not in your immediate future. I would keep your hair shorter to help deal with the unwieldiness the cowlick presents.

It's a cowlick like everyone said. I have one at the front of my forehead. It's funny.

Edit: My boyfriend has that too, and he's only 19. I would have to say that you're not going bald.
